my 1.4 furio running rich?

   hey guys just been looking around at the mpg thread and noticed someone saying about a strong smell of petrol outside the car.
   
   and my furio drinks alot of petrol lately. (mixed driving style)
   
   now my question is do i..
   
   A) go to a garage and get them to sort it out?
   B) is this a job i can do myself?

   oh and how much would it cost me to have it sorted out?

   Ive had excatly the same problem, had no luck on here a few weeks back when i asked, hope you get it sorted mate

   hi i had the same problem my head gasket had gone and i had a leak in my exhaust thats why mine wewas so bad !!

   yeah ive got the same car, its quite a dodgy problem really. to be honest pal it could be that many things that it might be best to get it into a garage and put on th computer. the ecu should tell you where abouts your problem could be. should only cost you about £25 to get it loked at.
   if you dont fancy that it could just be trial and error as to what you try to resolve it, map sensors, lambda sensors, cleaning throttle body and fuel injectors etc.
