  1. #1
i have seen a few, i was thinking sportex 4"oval i want one quite loud but not to ridiculas that i carnt hear my musiq
  2. #2
the 4 inch box is loud i had a single what i took off because it wasnt really my thing. ive not got a double 3" powerflow exhaust - but its only the end tips that are this size, the rest is 2" to keep the noise down a lil. sportex do make good back boxes thoand im pretty sure al of theirs are universal. got a link to the one your looking for?
  3. #3
sportex have correct fitments for all saxo's.
  4. #4
Go for the 4" oval m8 be sweet.

The piper 3inch look and sound good. i have one on mine. Just the right size, not to big and doesnt draw attention at low revs.
  14. #14
i just had a look on utube mate sounds nice
  15. #15
IMO piper 6"x4" oval backbox - the sound is awesome!!!! If i was to buy again I'd go for one!!
  16. #16
will the 1.4/1.6 fit my 1.l though
  17. #17
if it fits, then im going to get the oval or 3.5" round piper back box
  18. #18
does any one no if it would fit my cats in the long pipe that goes to the back box
  19. #19
i also wanted to point out as well, that the back box is purley for sound and astetics so could you point me some out that you think fits this perpose, not performance as i only have a one liter and theres no performance gains to be had, i just love the noises from quite loud exhuasts but i dont want 4" or 5" ones like i have a 4" round at the moment i dont think it suites my car

    (i no spelings crap)

sorry mate, its not me selling it - thought i have an old 4inch bore exhaust u could just have - its in need of a clean abd you may need to sort the pipe leading to it out, but apart from that - if you can cover the postage... you can have it if you want it.
  21. #21
that £35 one looks a bargin - tbh youd prolly need to weld the one i have lay around that i took off for a dual exhaust
  22. #22
i jsut got a new savage 4" backbox but no were will fit it :@
  23. #23
i went for a savage 4" n im likein it lol
  24. #24

Single slash cut one if any...
  26. #26
i was going to go for a 4"oval powerflow exhaust but im not sure yet as ive only got a 1.1 and how hight they rev it will sound gay as it will sound like its goign quick but the car isnt lol..im still not sure what i wanna do,i may just keep it as standard as i think mine looks smooth at the back but i want to lower it too aswell and my angels are getting fitted next week..i was quoted a 4" oval backbox and fitting for £145..im still not sure what i wanna do yet.
  27. #27
You could try a scorpion imola, 3.5" i had one on my quiksilver and loved the sound of it, if you havent already chosen an exhaust
  28. #28
I`m surprised knowones mentioned Ashley their nice & raspy not too expensive either.

    Steve.
  29. #29
cheers you lot, you have messed my head up now, the only thing i find hard about picking a back box is you never know what it sounds like till you buy it and fit it
  30. #30
lol! sorry! i no thats the problem i had! maybe a few people will take a video of what theres sounds like, might give you some more help
  31. #31
Thats the problem wiht buying exhausts, thats why i think im leaving the exhaust for a bit and see what happens and get some more info liek after ive been to a meet and hear some other peoples exhausts,,as i dont wnana spend the money and find out its too loud etc.
  32. #32
i no what i want, one thats quite loud and raspy, i no most pepole hate it when they sound like that, but i love it, i like the way the jap cars sound (i know its not a jap its french) but i really like that noise, i dont want the 4"-5" round though like i have on at the moment because it just doesent look right
  33. #33
yeh i no the sound you mean, i love the raspy sound, my mate hates it, he was dreading the french car show cause he thought everyone would have pugsports! lol, have you thought about getting a supersprint?
  34. #34
yes mate ive had a look, but theres so many makes to chews from, and i dont have a clue what any of them sound like, for looks i really like the duplex systems my heads stuck on one, but if anybody has videos or recordings they may sway my head some where else. once i hear the noises i will no wich i want straight away i think

im going to scout around utube maybe ill get ideas from there
  35. #35
Some of those look quite good indeed
  36. #36
i have had a look and basically for noise its going to be supersprint, peco, ashley, or piper
  37. #37
Yeah i love ths jap sound too,my bruvs got a Honda Integra DC5 type R and its mint and sounds great. But i know what you mean the sound is raspy and loud which sounds ace but like i said before everyone to their own isnt it so
  38. #38
write i have been reading threads and looking around, my decision has been made on a 3" round ashley, its 3" so its nice and subtle and watching the u tube videos they sound quite nice as well hopfully a bit louder and raspyer than my peco back box, what do you guy's think, plus i dont want to have to cut the bumpers for the duplex system, even though i love how they look
    http://www.europerformance.co.uk/pag...roduct=3747924
  39. #39
doh, even though last night i said i was geting the ashely 3", my mind is still saying get the peco duplex, i dont no why i just love the twin exhuast look, but if i buy it i dont want to regret it, and buy another one in 2 months time
  40. #40
does any one have any opinions this duplex one ends soon and im debating wether to bid or not
  41. #41
1 and a half hours left how much do you think i should go to
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...ayphotohosting
  42. #42
well i won the duplex £77.50
  43. #43
    Good ol' cherry bomber
  44. #44
Wouldnt of went for that tbh, single hole is better imo, every exhaust like that ive seen one side seems to sit lower than the other.
  45. #45
well i won it and im still waiting for a reply from the guy to come and collect it, he's really pissin me off, if i dont get a reply soon from him then im going for the ashley or a piper 3" to 3.5" round
