Panel filterz

   (SORRY TO CREATE NEW THREAD)
   Right im deciding to go woth the panel air filter ( green cotton ) as i hear its best thing to do..
   On kam racing theres 2 types

   as you can see one is 96 - 01 and the other is 01 onwards .. i have posiedon blue (august 2001) Y reg saxo vtr.... which one would be the correct fitting for my car cause i will order one as soon as i find out ....... Thanks peeps

   instead of making a new thread... do you get any noise from a panel filter?
   
   Also is there any real point in getting a open cone than a panel?

   no noise from a panel filter really. its the airbox that silences it

   i didnt get a change in my green panel filter, i just dont like taking the standard air box out as its make the engine bay look gappy

   I heard u dont get much noise but i did head about drillin the air box... sounds dodgy lol ? i also heard one guy say he took the little bit off the bottom of the air box and filled the hole and he said it makes all the air go str8 to the engine instead of the bit that he chopped off restrict air .. god knows .. any light on this .. im ordering me panel filter .. MOT is up next sat .. im havin me new ball jointz and exhaust apart from that it should wank it ! nice one for the replys
