Idle problem, sticky revs

   Well im having a problem with my idle.
   
   First problem is when i first drive the car, its splutters a little, and i need to put cluth in and rev it to get the revs back again and go, seems to stop it after driving it for a bit.
   
   Second problem is my revs stick to much, stick when i change gear, and when i pull over, the revs stick in between 1.5k - 2k revs, but if i just nudge forward, they go back down to 1k which is normal
   
   I have taken off my whole tb and cleaned it aswell as i took my ICV and cleaned that but still does it.

   Try cleaning your MAP sensor on the inlet manifold.
   
   Does it do it when the engines hot or cold or all the time?

   only splutters really when col i think
   
   revs stick when warm all the time

   try your idle control valve mate, this can cause sticking revs and a bad idle,,

   Throttle position sensor.
   
   Gaz, when the engines hot and the revs stick unplug the engine coolant temp sensor, the blu one on the right side of the engine. If the revs goes down it could be that, ive got a spare one you can have next week if ya want, might fit.
   
   Clean your MAP sensor aswell. Or also when the revs are high unplug the plug on the back of the MAP sensor and see if the revs go down.

   Also my temp is running 3/4 which seems a bit hot to me

    ive got a 1998 vts and my revs are low wen i first start my car then wen i go to move it for the first 1-2 min the revs stick at about 4000rpm think this might be my lambda sensor so you could try getting a new 1 m8 unless uve got a m8 with a vts then borrow theres

    coolent temp sensor mate for sure!! i had same probs with my vtr cleaned tb out and i replaced ICV, and replaced CT sensor ever since its been fine

    hi guys i got a 2000 vts mk2 and when i pull up to a junction or when im slowing down for say the car sometimes and not every day when it wants randomly stalls or when its parked and just ticking over it sometimes stalls or struggles to keep its revs whats could this be guys?

    idle speed control valve. try cleaning it up or getting a new one mate
