Will 306 Steelies Fit A Saxo?

  1. #1
My VTR alloys are pretty badly curbed as a result of the previous owner not taking much care of the car, so i'm considering changing them.

A mate has just replaced his steelies with alloys on his 306 and is getting rid of them so i can get them for next to nothing.

Just wondering if they will fit and what size they are?

Does anyone know what steelies Aron/LEE_VTR1 where using?

    Thanks in advance

Rims should fit, but tyres will be too big.

Look at the wheels for the sizing as different 306s had different sized wheels & rubber.

Does that mean i would need lower profile tyres but otherwise they should fit?

1993 1.9 Diesel is what they've come off is that helps?

    they were c5 steelies

the 306 steelies should fit but the tyres may be a tad on the big size
however as a temporary measure they should be cool

Do these affect the handling characterisics much?

Do narrower wheels/tyres mean less grip?

the only way they will effect the charecteristics will be the weight difference
and the different pofiles may alloy the tyres to flex which will feel a bit like body roll if there smaller diameters ect

but tbh it wont be a massive difference

Ok cheers mate, will look into trial fitting the steelies and checking for some lower profile tyres if they rub.

Did the C5 steelies fit the saxo with no problems on standard tyres?
