cut down springs!

    i have a mk1 vtr that iv just found out has the springs cut dwn to lower it, how bad is this as ive herd few bad things should i change them soon as or they be ok, its lowered around 40mm

    iz there are other mods on the car,,, i dread to think how they have been fitted cutting down the springs is lethal

    only air filter and exhuast, brought it as cat c and been doing it up

    mate you should be getting some new springs... as long as you take it easy they should be fine but doing it the pikey way and cutting springs down isnt really good as if the car is going to be lowered the springs need to be stiffer.

    get some 40mm springs if you like the heights its at now, for around 50 quid posted. look out for apex and spax if you can
