Hey guys may sound like a stupid question but can i use a electric sander, like an orbital sander? if so what pads/paper do i use?

I was thinking about this earlier. I suppose if you do it by hand, you can get into the nooks and crannies of the rims?

yes you can but it hurts your bloddy fingers though mine still hurt now

Yer i would do the nooks nd crannies by hand, but i rekon i could power sand the face of the alloy

i got a thing called a flap wheel.
basically, its a drill bit with flaps of samd paper on it...
works an absolute treat.
gets in all of the nucks and crannies as well.

you get the flap wheels from b&q mate
i got 1, great finish just dont press to hard

get a wire brush on the end of a drill and some nitro mours
