Alloy sanding

    Hey guys may sound like a stupid question but can i use a electric sander, like an orbital sander? if so what pads/paper do i use?

    i cant see why not mate id start off with rought then smooth then fine

    I was thinking about this earlier. I suppose if you do it by hand, you can get into the nooks and crannies of the rims?

    yes you can but it hurts your bloddy fingers though mine still hurt now

    Yer i would do the nooks nd crannies by hand, but i rekon i could power sand the face of the alloy

    as long as you think you can get a similar finish by hand as you can with the power sander?

    i got a thing called a flap wheel.

    basically, its a drill bit with flaps of samd paper on it...
    works an absolute treat.

    gets in all of the nucks and crannies as well.

    you get the flap wheels from b&q mate

    Cheers buddy might get my self one, its so boring and hard work doing all four by hand lol

    get a wire brush on the end of a drill and some nitro mours
