17"

Hey there people i have just managed to get a set of 17" with 205 40's stuck on with spacers and extended bolts for £100 and was wondering if there is going to be a huge amount of work to do to make them fit and was wondering how much of my wheel lock i would loose.

has anyone attempted puttuing 17's on???

think 17s look too big on a saxo

there will be some work, you will more than likely have to remove the wheel arch liners and possibly have to modify the inner wings, beat them with a hammer so the wheels dont rub. It can be done mate, all depends on the offset of the wheels. You may have to modify the wheel arches (roll them or fit wide arches) I have 19"s on my saxo and they dont rub apart from full lock. You will loose abit of steering lock, you have to compromise though, you cant have the looks with the practicality haha

I thaught on the fronts theres a bit your have to do somthing with eg bang it in or somthing then 17's (with the correct offset) fit fine?

Looks wrong in my opinion. I personally wouldnt go over 15s. Plus will it not affect your speedo badly?

16's are the most on a saxo, and even then i'd only have them if they were for clearance on huge brakes!
