The good and the bad of VTR to VTS conversion?

  1. #1
rite will im considering putting a 16valver into my VTR and obv the good points are the speed and power etc...

but what about the bad points?

1-insurance goes through the roof, or dont tell them and risk crashing into a aston martin and having to pay out

    2-hard to sell after?

    3-more problems than its worth?

4- how do you sort out millage, etc...?

5- and whats the average price of a conversion including the VTS box?

mine less than a vts, its a vtr with an engine mod lol! i'll be going with a speciaist when it runs out in a couple of months.
i would think it might sell a bit easier, the young lads who want a vts but cant insure it would probably get an r with an s engine and pay more if you get the right guy
no more probs than any other saxo
you dont change mileage because that should still reflect the milage on the shell
mine cost me £250 for engine and £100 for box, then a further £3-400 on bits and pieces for it. but ive now bought a new exhaust for it and vts alloys and stuff like that

2-not really, should sell pretty easy imo

3-no problems if all parts are in good condition

4- you dont have to, can se the vts clocks, or get yours adjusted

    5- i'll fit for £250
