Steel High Comp HG

    So, Ive bounced the valves on my 16v and need to rebuild it. It would be rude not to at least look into uprating a few parts on the way.

    Can anyone shed some light on the cost and location of the 0.6mm steel HG for the TUs?

    Also, would this risk valve clash with PH3s?

    I believe the smaller HG is 0.6mm. However Im running a JP4 head and Ive also read that the standard size HG on these is the 0.6mm, is this true? In which case Ill obviously be getting one anyway.

    im the same. kent pt50k cams j4 bottom end jp4 head and im puting a jp4 (0.6) gasket on it. did yours clash once u put the 0.6 mm gasket in? pm me please x

    i ran 708's with a .6 gasket, unsure how much was skimmed off the head though. didnt touch

    from what ive read using a jp4 head and ph3/708 ect its very very close to having contact (some touch at high revs but nt hard enough to cause damage like)
    so a smaller gasket increases the risk
    personally i wouldnt especially if the heads been skimmed
