Can you rub back clear lacquer?

   hey have just cleared my mirrors with my spray gun...
   Stupid gun spat a lump of hard paint out....left a blob...
   
   CAN YOU RUB BACK clear coat?
   
   Using 1500grit or something....or does it leave it hazy?
   
   Any advance on finishing clear coat welcome...

   Yes you can.
   
   May need to be sprayed again afterwards though as you may remove quite a bit of clear coat or paint around the blob. If you're lucky you'll get away with a fair bit of wet & dry and some rubbing compound.
