Trouble wiring L.E.D gear knob

   hi all just bought a new L.E.D gear nob which i fitted but not sure where to wire it to. Its a black and white wire, can i just wire it to the back of my head unit? or where should i be wiring it to?

   Depends when you want the leds to come on tbh
   
   few ways to do it
   
   Fit an inline switch and then wire to a premanent or switched live
   
   Wire it to switched live for it to come on when you turn the key
   
   Wire it to sidelights so they come on with sidelights

   my dad used to have one (no joke) and his was a battery init.
   
   wiring to the sidelights sounds cool though

   surely its a bit redundant wiring it into the car, as you'd have to make the wire loose in every gear and it'd look a bit gash?

   Personally I wouln't have one but if I had to would do one to bodywork (earth) and one to Ignition Live wire of stereo.
