mk1 badge spraying

    Does the citroen badge on the mk1 grille, the very early one, come off seperate to the whole grille?
    As i would like to spray it matching colour to my wheels.

    do you mean the chevrons if so take the grill out then remove chevrons from behind

    Yer the chevrons on this style grille, not my car btw.
    I cant see anyway of getting them off the back.

    take the grill off turn it around there are 2 small clips on each one if you look at my pic you will see them i used a thin bleded screw driver to prise it open then push it away from you but be gentle with it

    any prepping needed or just buy plastic paint? as i presume there plastic badges

    i just used some wet and dry to take the shine off then 2 thin coats of acrylic primer then 2 coats of acrylic paint and finally 2 coats of lacquer

    ok cheers mate.
    Im going for the matte effect though, just leave out the lacquer or have to buy the proper paint?

    how many more coats as i want enough paint left over to do the mirror caps aswell?

    1 can will do chevrons and mirror caps mate
