what is a good 0-60 time for a VTR as i managed an 8.22 with a 4-2-1 manifold, supersprint race, omp 3" and piperx with cold air feed

(on a dual carriageway on national limit and stopped at a red light so nothing illegal)

8.2 is alright, s1 rallye gearbox fully stripped out with breathing mods cams etc will see 6.8-7.5 if you can launch the car

:o does the S1 box improve acceleration that much? might have to get one!

alot closer then a vtr. even an xsi or rallye you will notice a big difference.

Good time mate, go for a Rallye or XSI box though, will improve it a fair bit

Also shedding weight is a good way to lower your time

i would strip but i need the backseats as i do give more than one people a lift on occasions(sp) and i like my music

Did you get 60 in 2nd or 3rd as the R cannot reach 60 with the stock rev limit in second.

    How did you time it?

I disagree, you may get an indicated 60, but its not the true road speed. If you look at the ratio calaculators with rev limit, its a couple of mph out.

Stopwatch & mate looking at speed give such errors! Only if its timed with decent calibrated equipment you can state the 0-60 with any conviction......

if you kicked him out the car it would have been quicker

oh my god, dont start this again!
also can i ask, how was the 0-60 timed so accurately?
  13. #13
The 8.22 you got would probably be in the 9s if you used proper equipment.

probably but this gives me a rough idea of what times i can do surely
