do you mean the whole dashboard like?
that would look sweet in gloss white.
what else you thinking of doing in the interior?

well door cars first, and the rears, then the dash if i make a good job of that, then trimming in red leather (got a white car going for red as my other colour, blues too common)

then white leather steering wheel, gearknob and handbrake ect moneys tight at the moment but not prepared to compromise on quality so if i cant do it myself, i will eventually get it done pro

    sweet.
i have gone for a white and red theme. only my badges and chevrons done though.
dont think i going to do anything more to mine yet though, except for alloys.
hopefully getting vtr at the end of the year.

i rekon that would look sweet.
and as for your question, i would just use fibreglass.
surely someone has done it on here though, so someone will be able to give you a proper answer.

first thought was filler but thought thats likely to crack

loads of sanding i would imagine.
wouldnt it be the same process as a fibre glass subwoofer box?

high build primer m8. give it a gd key with wet nd dry give it a few heavy coats of primer then guide coat it then rub down with wet and dry that will make it smooth for painting and fill the texture

You''ll need to spend a fair bit of time on the dash, to get it completely smooth, use wet and dry and a heavy grade grit paper, eg 40 grade, when happy with it, use finer grades of grit and small ammounts of filler to get perfect, you'll probably need to spray it once and then do more smoothing, i spent around 15 hours on my dash and cards, heres a pic of mine with white leather floor fitted too, red and white look good

Id buzz it up with some 180, then 320. Then some plastic primer and heavy coats of 2k high build primer. guide coat then wet flat with 800. I have been in a car with a gloss white dash and the sunshine glare was stupid at times was blinding.

    okay so,

sand it smooth and then high build primer it, then spray?

    would you recommend lacquer?
  14. #14
i heard its dodgey when its sunny to have a gloss white dash, a lot of glare ;/
  15. #15
probably, i wear shades though might have to get some white aviator ones once my interiors done thought
  16. #16
One thing you could do is get your interior flocked, no glare in the sun , pick any colur you want and no hard work smoothing anything

    win win win!!!
  17. #17
White flock would be more practical.

However as said, high build primer is probably easiest way.
  18. #18
i hate the look of it when its flocked, not my style im afraid, also white would be a nightmare to keep clean!
