   Decatted, Supersprint with the manifold aswell will pop / bang like a crazy mofo and be nice and raspy.

   i have piper ss backbox, decat and no centre silencer and mine pops all the time and rasps too

   when i just had the baxkbox on there wasnt too much noise tbh. after removing cat a silencer it was totally different

   I have a GMC 4-1 and piper full system (no-cat) and i don't get pops. Just the occasional gargle at low rpms.

    they are aluminised steel. Steel with an aluminium coating so the steel cannot oxidise.

    A backbox alone will make hardly any difference to the sound whatsoever.

    get a sportex straight through and an ashely 3" backbox, loud as fuck and flames when its hot enough lol (thats on a vts with no cat)

    i had a cherry on my old 3.5v6 pajero (i didnt fit it, was on when i bought it) just sounded like a quiet v6 rumble going slow and when you wernt flooring it, but when you floored it and the kickdown did its thing it used to sound like an earthquake down lincoln high street!

    lol, i loved the sound it made! especially sat at a set of lights! it used to run so quiet youd have trouble hearing it! was a well good motor! then floor it from the lights and im sure people used to think there was an air raid or something!lol

    My Magnex never used to pop and bang on the VTR - they're designed to be fairly civilised, almost like an OE setup. Different story when they're fitted to a 16V lump though!
    
    For rasp and bangs, I'd go for a Piper every time. This was a Supersprint 4-2-1 and Piper 3.5" inward rolled (stainless) with middle box. Video doesn't do it justice tbh.

    I found when I fitted the 421 supersprint the car didnt stop spitting and popping when hot and there was a big increase from the standard manifold.

    Its because youve still got a cat. And popping too much is a bad think, means your fuellings out. Should only pop when your gunning it for long periods or when the exhuast is very hot

    I have a furio with 3.5 round tip piper backbox and it makes a canny difference between certain rev ranges. Also when hot it gargles a little bit with the odd little pop.. sounds spot on to me

    if you want a loud exhaust then look into an ashley exhaust system, there suppost to be the loudest on the shelf exhaust you can buy!

    Piper straight through along with the Magnex straight through, you get alot of popping all the time a nice racey sound with a rasp aswell look for those tow.

    theres a savage back box on mine (was on there when i bought it) still catted n middle silencer and that pops alot when hot not over fueling either
