   hi. my stem seals are going in my head (saxo vtr 98 blacktop) i cant be without my car so was thinking of gettin another head from the scrap yard n gettin the seals, skimmed and tested done on that one.
   
   but just in case there no vtr heads there is there any other head i can put on and be ok

   A head off just about any black top 1.6 MPI TU engine should do you.

   wot like a 106?? has it got 2 be petrol?

   Just to make clear when I say black top I am talking 8V black top. All the 1.6 TU engines are petrol. Yes you can use a 1.6 106 XSI head.

   Don't think they will. They had a 1.6 16V TU or a 1.8 XU depending on year I think
