a few of my mates have got them never once had a problem with anyone or anything, i do understand where you are coming from and it is against the law in most cases, would it still be illeagle in projector headlights?? where i live police do not seem bothered also no one that im aware of has failed and mot on them but leagly speacking im know what you mean but for the looks im willing to take a risk and tbh they look a hell of a lot better than normal bulbs imo

Its an urban myth about projectors. Projectors or not has no relevance to there legality.

hids-direct are pretty good. Only had one faulty set with them and they replaced everything straight away. Well priced too.

Avoid turborevs like the plague, had 3 or 4 bad sets with them.

Mine are fully declared on my insurance and have been accepted, I never get pulled for them and they would also pass an MOT according to a mate who is an MOT tester. Hes also so strict that he failed me before for having magic trees hanging from my rear view mirror so hes not doing me any favours. Ive never been flashed by another driver, and the benefits down backroads especially are immeasurable.

Also had mine check at an MOT station (nation wide auto cnetres) and they said they would pass them no bother.

Mine wer off ebay, Phillips for £60 first set faulted but got a new set and these are perfect.

As for people flashing me, never had it on normal roads, round town etc etc.

Somtimes on the back roads they put there main beam on as to say "turn your main beam off" to me, they shapr turn these off though when mine goes on in return

Also, they are very good for spotting police miles away, light them up like a Christmas tree

never been pulled for them once, infact, since i got them, ive never been pulled at all lol

agreed....to be legal they have to come as standard factory fitted...which also needs to include self leveling, headlight washers and a projector lense.

You do know Philips do not make HID conversion bulb kits? Neither does Bosch, Hella, General Electric or Osram. Any sold as such are cheap counterfeit goods to start with.

Not true. If you retrofitted the complete headlight unit as fitted to a HID equipped to a car that did not come with HIDs it would actually be legal. Assuming is fitted correctly and not held in with chewing gum.

That is very different to the many of the illegal HIDs that can give off a way brighter low beam than the maximum legal. Often give off terrible beam patterns. Many go black when switching from high to low beam. Many don't even have a high beam lol. Some even flicker or change colour. Most are not even the colour the say to be.

You do know not only do you have to tell them you have changed your headlights but you also have to tell them you have fitted none E approved headlights that are not road legal. Try telling them the truth and see if they are still happy for your to have them

I told them Ive got HID kit. Aswell as my sprayed headlights.

Im fully aware of the legislation against them, from our previous conversations lol, but if my insurance are fine with them, other road users are fine with them, the police are fine with them, and my uber picky MOT testing mate is happy with em I can sleep easy
