i think when it comes down to best looks and handling... its each to their own, and so much makes a difference too, road surface, tyres, brand, profile, tread, suspension...
i like mine stiff and slammed. i thnk it looks great, and on a flat bendy road handles pretty cool tbh, as i like RWD when the back end kicks out in the sax, puts a smile on me faceee!
id never go lower than 50-60mm again though! due to the inconvenience!

At the moment untill tuesday im driving with standard height at the back and 40mm at the front. It looks out of balance and i wouldnt advise it
will be fine tho until the back is done. mine is now lowered 35 on the front and its arse is in the air , still loads better than standard IMOO. and kinda looks ok too . in the old days my dad had a mk1 escort and he lowered the front right into the arches and jacked the back up . looked the business

mines lowered just at the front 50mm, check my progress thread mate if your wondering what it looks like. i need to get round to lowering the rear end. i wouldnt say its sensible to leave it like that, ive had it like that for about 6 months now lol and sometimes it can look ok, but would definately get the rear lowered too.

personally from expierience i would suggest saving for coil overs rather than springs although if your lowering with spring, i highly recomend you do shocks aswell,, otherwise they will ware 10X faster
