Harness Question....

  1. #1
Im going to get some buckets or recliners (havent decided yet.) But ive decided to keep the back seats in my new car.
So, i was wondering which harnesses will bolt onto the seat subfram or around the subframe so that people can still sit in the back. I've seen the 4 point harnesses and these, to me, look the right ones for the job. But i expect im probably wrong. Can anyone shed some light? Thanks.

i dont think you can get ones which will also alow you to have passengers in the back.

Not that im aware of anyways....

I no you can get ones which unbuckle at the rear, but thats about it i think.

to be honest using a 3 point for example. the shoulder strap length should really be fitted to the bolt in the rear bench or up by the boot.

attaching the harness to the subframe would be dangerous and at risk of failing in an accident

    that is also dangerous.

if someone hit you at speed in the rear, that part of the car would crumple and the harness go slack.

iirc it happend to a member on here.

Always attach them to where the rear seatbelts fix under the rear bench.
