hi, sorry for the stupid question
seen someone selling a mk2 cam which says its for a 98bhp engine but mines a mk2 with 100bhp so will this fit or not?
    thanks alot

Yours will be the 98bhp engine mate - 3 plug ECU, CAT in manifold etc.

As long as the cam is for a silvertop engine (roller rockers), it will fit fine.

its a 98bhp there is no such 100bhp model.

So if its advertised to fit the 98bhp engine it will fit, ask the person who your getting it off what year his car is, and what ecu his car has.
Or even better a photo of his engine bay and post it up here for someone to confirm, or take a look at the thread at the top in the stickies

As above, Y reg onwards is the 98bhp engine. There's no such thing as a 100bhp engine, probably just Citroen rounding it up for ease.

there is a thread at the top of the section in the faq's. It will tell you how to distingush between the 90bhp and 98bhp engine.

At a guess i would say yours is the 90bhp.

V reg is the 90bhp silvertop engine mate, single plug ECU. Any aftermarket cam designed to fit a silvertop engine (roller rockers) will be fine.

Kent Cam PT40 runs very well unmapped with breathing mods, as does the Newman PH3. Unmapped (with breathing mods) and the timing adjusted on the rollers, you're looking in the region of 118 - 119bhp.

The PH3 should be a bit more potent than the PT40 with a remap though - if you're going down the remap route, fit uprated valve springs as this allows the mapper to raise the rev limit a tad. PH3's power band is up to 7000 RPM.
