mk2 vtr 3 plug can you cut and wire in 1plug vts

    right iv dun a cupel of conversons befor and iv made my own wiring lomes for conversons. but iv got to do 1 on a mk2 vtr and its a 3 plug ecu and iv got a vts engine and lome wich is 1 plug can i wire this into the vtr car lome and it will werk thanks rich o and i no you have to get the ecu un locked

    seen a few people re wire the multi plug so yes you can

    it will be a pain to do though

    ok mate thanks i just heard a rumer that ther was just somet in the 3 plug clocks that speak to the ecu thats all

    yea some people who do it find that their clocks dont work after.. just means a bit more rewiring lol..

    I wouldnt trust anyone to do a conversion that speaks like that.

    It took me 5 weeks to do mine, so a pain is an understatement as there will be alot of unused wires on both the interior and engine loom that are not used/compatible. Also you have to work out what each wire controls individually.

    no shit on the dash is different on the 3 plug ecu ie fuel reading temp ect you will be looky to get it work

    ive just done the same, ive now started over with a 3 plug loom and ecu.
    nothing worked, inone of my dials, my fan or my reverse lights! my battery light and handbrake light were permanently on too.
    there main problem i had was the fan,on the vtr its controled by the ecu but on a single plug car its controlled by a sensor in the rad and doesnt connect to the loom at all

    By the way you can wire the fan switch from the rad to a relay and then directly to the battery and then it will work as normal.

    Chris!!! he was asking a perfectly good question, so why the need for muppet? Many people ave problems with spelling. If your that ignorant to other peoples problems, may be u should keep you'r thoughts to u'r self!!!!! Rich I hope the converstion goes well sorry couldn't be as helpfully as some!!
