Bump Strip Issues

  1. #1
    Hello,

I had a look through a few posts but couldnt find anything about this so thought i'd start a new thread.

Im new to the citroen saxo so forgive me if this is obvious.

The bump strips on my mk1 vts are coming away from the door. From the looks of it, it appears that the previous owner has tried to just glue them back to the clip but now the clip has come away from the body. Im assuming that this is a common problem with older saxo's?

Is it fairly easy to replace these and if it is where can I buy them from (had a look on ebay and couldnt see much). Or is it a case of me trying to glue the old ones back on.

    Cheers.

you could try gluing then back on, just make sure there clean and the old glue is off, if it looks like you can't glue it back on, then just go to a scrapyard and take one off an old vtr, or go on sax-p for sale section or just Egay (Y)

you can get the clips from citroen but use tiger seal to bond them back then use masking tape to hold the panels in place for about 24 hours

Tiger seal is what i did for mine. Parked close to the side of the house on the drive. Then left it 24hours with pressure from a few pieces of wood pressed betwene the door and house. Worked a treat and is stuck very fast now
