unlocking my ecu..

   hi, a friend of mine said he can unlock my ecu for £70 is their any point doing his?
   what can you gain from this or what does it allow you to do?

   if you unlock it you can switch your ecu in an other car, so there is no gain. if you want gain from your ecu you need a remap
