using extra performance

  1. #1
this is for the people that still use there modified car on daily basis. and by modified i mean cams, t/b's or boost.

how often do you use the extra performance gained by your modifications?

most of the journey i do aren't very long and the car has bearly been up to temp (oil) and im at were i need to be. so i dont really drive it quick and not to mention id probably get nicked.

so after the initial novelty has worn off do you just resort back to unmodified style of driving.

bit of a ramble i know.

    cheers

i had that covered in the first post.

i know most people probably will its the time inbetween because i doubt most people are out on trackdays every weekend, if they are they have alot of money.

Ive got cams and generally im under 4k revs too and from work so see no benefit them at all. Its just ncie to know what it can do. But yeah essentially to and from work etc dont really see the benefit other than mapped ecu's seem to get better mpg

i sit on the motorway at 70 for most of my time commuting.

On the way to and from Bournemouth and Bristol I do like to have some fun - these cars definately need ot be reved hard to get anywhere quick

Most zorts are for the nice noise

my driving on the road is 95% boring and safe. once you've done a significant amount of track time roads just don't cut it...

i first of all wanted cams and other bits on my road car as well as building my track car i've just started thinking is it worth it on my road car. i may just stick with the usual breathing modifications on the car.

You were asking if people use extra performance mods on a daily basis, maybe i havent explained myself clearly.
Basically i mean exhausts do add power but generally in day to dau driving people like them as they sounds nice

Only ever drive really face when racing. Even track days are slow in comparison.

ive got a passat for long journeys, i really cant stand driving the saxo for anything other than to and from track days. i know that if i do drive it, i'll just go stupid with it and i'll get caught.

its hard to keep it under control when the throttle bodies sound so good
