I had my mk2 vtr dyno'd yest at croft show on the rollers that was theyre. I was guessing about 105 as got miltek mani with sports cat and full system, Piperx open filter. It got 133 and was revved upto 6k rpm obviously its only a spoox figure and not pluged to ecu. what what sort of figure you guys reckon it would be about? He said it felt very responsive and asked how it drove on the road.
My vtr dyno'd.

#2133 for a vtr!!!
seem alittle high that does, even to be alittle out still high! has the vtr been cammed?
andy -
#3i wouldnt be expecting that from my vts and ive got decat too!
i'd say between 100 and 105 -
#4i had mine dyno'd and all i have is a decat and a green cotton filter and mine got 105? does that seem about right?
-
#5Well im getting the results sent to me by email. So will be putting them when come.
-
#6I would have expected no more than 106 / 107bhp
133bhp seems wrong
-
#7try another dyno mate that will give you a better understanding
-
#8LADesque figures there
-
#9105-108 is the norm for a well looked after vtr engine with those mods.
Hope you didn't pay for that? -
#10i would say 110 max
-
#11yer get another dyno done to double check it!!
what was the other figures from other cars on the day?
Andy -
#12Is it cammed?
-
#13133bhp at the pistons maybe...

Andy -
#14133bhp for a VTR...just read your progress thread, did you get the VTS engine in it?
Edit: just read in General Chat your still waiting for it. -
#15would a Dyno at a car show not be setup properly though???
that dose sound about 20bhp high though -
#16Portable rollers?
Lad off 106oc had his GTi RR'd on the ones at FCS last year and it made some kind of stupidly low figure. Take portable RR figures with a bag of salt... -
#17What gear was it run in?
-
#18was probably me making a mere 91bhb lol on the old nana gti

#20It was ran in 3rd and 4th upto 6k rpm. No it hasnt been vts'd yet as the guy is taking the piss and trying to get my money back as been waiting atleast 3 months. Its not been cammed either.

#24them graph dont seem to make any sence to me, or am i stupid and dnt get them
can anyone make sence of the graph please
Andy -
#25if I'm reading it right, its got 550Nm of torque..
-
#26neh they canny be right! 500 nm are you sure the graph is correct? because from what i can se in one run it made 200bhp?
-
#27defo not right that
when i got my vtr on the rollers ( a fixed one) mine got 108bhp with simalar mods and the graph does look right either -
#28i had mine rolling roaded at Power Engineering and got 110bhp with 110lbs/ft with no cat, and open filter standard fanimold.
-
#29looks like the rollers are set up for Vtec....
Peak Torque is not at 2400 rpm is it.....!!!??? -
#30
-
#31yer didnt say yo had not been on the dyno!
just that graph does not look right, how did you work out from the graph that it was 133 bhp?
Andy -
#32Thats a crap power curve, mine came out nearly perfect after being set up for the new inlet

+1 on 133 being to high -
#33where can u get ur car dyno done from
and how much do they cost? -
#34your best bet is to get your car dino'd at three different dino's then take an average this should be most acurate option
-
#35That is what the guy told me when got results.
-
#36The best way to do it imho is to use a roller when you first buy the car then stick to that one everytime, to not nessacerally see the total power but the gains from each mod/s over the previous claim.
Intake temp can massivly affect the outcome by the way.
Good idea no? -
#37its not a bad idea ^^^^^^^ tbh
