The theory is sound. It sound stop the parasitic losses from the alternator. I'd count GMC as pretty respectable so unlikely to sell something that would not work. I'd be interested to try it out on a rolling road. 4bhp (standard engine) is just over 3% in recovered power so quite a lot but only a rolling road is going to tell.

Thanks for the quick response, will by one as doing a rolling road can try run with/without. how would you go about fitting and how long would it take to put on and off ?
