Steel wheel colour

  1. #1
I'm planning to spray my steelies tomorrow just to tidy up the look of the car....I've decided against white as it's too common and makes the wheels stand out too much for my liking

I was thinking of a dark grey: Pug cossack grey or Ford graphite grey

What do you think? and how much primer, colour and laquer will I generally need to do a full set of steels?

3/4 cans of primer, 3/4 cans of paint and 2 cans of laquer i rekon

    Grey sounds good mate

    I agree

went to Halfrauds today and everything I needed would come to around £50 so I decided to hold back and keep the money either to go towards a 4 stud conversion and some vt* wheels or to get some tidy 3 stud alloys

i would've said grey would look good, but if your holding back then that would've been a waste aha - Is there nowhere you can get the stuff cheaper??

Yer it would have looked good but I can't justify spending £50 to make steelies look good, fair enough if they were C5 steels or rallye steels.

Probably if I bought the paints off eBay it'd be a lot cheaper than Halfords but I have set my sights on some 3 stud alloys now:

Think they'd look good? .....check out my progress thread and leave some comments on my ideas

I dont like them, it makes the car look a wreck, just looks like you dont look after your car.

Always see mondeos etc without wheel trims, just looks like you abuse your car.
