Golf TDI can have dump valve?

   This may sound stupid... but my mum has a golf TDI...
   
   just wondering if i could get a dump valve for it... since i dont know why... just want to know because its 3am

   Lol When do turbos on diesels kick in? Is it the same effect as petrols...

   They kick in quite low down, usually at full boost by 2700rpm.
   
   Exactly the same process as a petrol, just a lazy version.
