does anyone have a list of the bits you will need to fit bodies to my vts
they will be bike bodies due to the cost, i need to know the best bike bodies to get and as said a list of bits.
    thanks alot

Bike bodies are a step back mate. You can't run digital fuel injection with them and they have to be set up very very well to see and decent sort of gains. Whereas throttle boddies are run by an ecu.
For a proper throttle bodies set up you'll need:

    Throttle bodies
    Inlet manifold
    Injectors
    Fuel Rail
    FPR
And a good ecu and map to get it all running smoothly
Im sure theres something ive forgotten that someone will add. Try to go for dedicated throttle bodies instead of bike bodies if your looking at doing it properly as they will give much better gains / smoother power through the range aswell.

the bodies from GMC are pretty much plug and play, just need an ecu from predator or something similar and i'd chuck a set of cams in while youre at it

Your thinking of bike carbs mate. Bike bodies ARE run by an ECU, just like your usual throttle bodies such as Jenvey, ATPower etc.

I agree bike bodies probably aren't as good as proper throttle bodies but they are no means bad by a long way! If you look on rallye-reg, loads of people have the Sandy Brown setup and it does look like a good setup, especially for 8v's. Results may be a bit inaccurate or over exagerated but many have seen 170+ using bike bodies on a VTS engine. And Hank's VTS engine is proven at 193bhp using bike bodies, all be it a fairly high spec'd engine.

For bike bodies you need: -
    - GSXR 1000 K1 + K2 (2001 and 2002) bodies (42mm inlet iirc)
    - Colin Satchel / Sandy Brown inlet manifold
    - Some form of injectors
    - ECU setup - Predator ECU??
    - Some form of cams

And then it all needs to be setup - that's the basics anyhow, don't think i've missed anything off but

this sandy brown bloke is canny hard to get a hold of, he seems to be the boy for this sort of carry on.
if anyone knows of anyone selling there throttle bodies can you please let me know
    cheers

you could just buy some DTH throttle boddies ( KMS or At power) fit them and go to chipwizards to map them. Job sorted.

    DTH means Direct to head.

You dont have an inlet manifold. they are 1 piece.

how much are these, why would people bother with the inlet side of things
i take it they must be expensive

    Sorry for thread hi-jack!

Ive been told by my mechanic that he has a set of R6 throttle bodies and he can fit them for me if i want.
Do i NEED a standalone ECU/Predator ECU to run them or can them be run on the standard ECU??

The inlet is usually used as an adapter. A company IE Jenvey makes a set of throttle bodies in different sizes and the bolt spacings are all the same. Then they just make the inlet to suit the car. So throttle bodies fitted to a corsa 1.6 will be the exact same as the saxo but the inlet will be different.

The DTH ones use a tract to make up for the missing inlet space used to flow the air magically like TB's do.

im going for the dth bodies, just seems alot easier and not that much more tbh, hope its going to be worth it!

big thread on ssc atm regarding a group buy GMC are planning on doing

saxosteve has some of them all ready iirc.

Dont think he is on schax-p.

Kit is all ready to go bar you will need a management system and it mapping.

Im the one who has organised the group buy through gmc

steves engine will also have no relevance on 99% of people on this forum, with the results we will see
