My cheap arse supersprint bodge

Didt fancy forking out moneys for a supersprint so i bought a pipe from citroen direct for £11 which is the same as a supersprint but is cheap!
also i couldnt get the original bolts and springs shit to seal properly so i ust used size 13 roofing bolts
lol thought id share my bodge

  6. #6
    You pikey lol...

the straight tjrougj citroen pipe is a smaller bore than a supersprint

so is still a little restrictive
however it will flow freer than standard lol

Any pics mate? Sounds like a good bodge
  9. #9
its not really that much of a bodge
  10. #10
Black nasty tape instead of bolts would of made it a proper bodge
  11. #11
i wouldnty call it a bodge lol
im looking at it tbh as i want my supersprint back for my gti and the vtr tbh its made no difference on as i still ahve a cat so the smaller bore will make no real chance lol
for the price its a resonable mod lol

lol sounds awesome man!! gotta love bodge jobs when they come together, i doubt the new centre you have will have quite the same bore as the supersprint but for £11 you cant complain at all i spose.

    As for roofing bolts........hahahahaha

lol ill spend the 50 odd quid i saved on beer so i win lol and one of my Bodge Bolts fell out on the way home looks like i didnt tighten it up lol
  14. #14
really need sprung bolts, roofing bolts will keep working loose
  15. #15

    or cable tie it on.

and as said the bore of a supersprint pipe is slightly bigger than the citroen pipe meaning air flows better and its slightly louder.

Looking at your progress thread, you've got a de-cat aswell? What sort of noise did it make before you changed the centre pipe?
  25. #25
i snapped the engine mounts in my old clio raking it about in an old quarry bout 30 miles away from home back in the day and didnt have any breakdown cover or anyone with even a rope etc lmao, had to use my trusty hammer and stanley knife to the best of my ability.....bang a load of bricks down the sides of it and cut out the rear seatbelts and tie the mount down to the subframe, got me home though
