Hey guys, any of you with Hi-Spec brakes out there what are the best pads guys? Can i get the corbone lorraine ones for them? Thanks in advance.

pad fitment isnt as large as some brakes.

Ring hispec and see what is available from them.

They use volvo 240/480 shape pads.

Carbon Lorraine pads are very good.
But say bye bye to the finish on your alloys.
    Eats them for breakfast.

I have Green Stuff with my Hi-Specs.. Have heard mixed reviews from these but they came with them and they are brand new so i'm not going to waste them! Mintex 1144's are recommended though and I spoke to Kam about these and he said that he can get them in stock..

Mintex might be worth a go.

Ferg - Is it that bad that all the wheel protectant in the world wont help? They are powdercoated btw.

Do not use green stuff pads in Hi-Specs.
    That is criminal.

The brake dust will eat through the hardest of finishes.
So only use them on wheels you don't like.

As for pads - I'm currently using 1144's. They are fantastic.
    Would totally recommend them!
1155's are even better on track, but they need more heat so not great on the road.

    green = cack.

CL = as ferg says only for use if you dont like your alloys really.

1144s are the best allround set up many people feel.

Wow Ryan agree's with what I say.
    That's a real first.

ill be getting carbonne lorraine rc6's but these will be used purely on track and the wheels are matt black so can be repainted whenever.

ive used mintex and on the road they are perfect.

    Agreed Mintex pads are win.

Cl are releasing a new compound in the next couple of monthes.
Is said to be more of an all rounder for road and track use.
  14. #14
will be getting mintex then i think. Thanks alot guys.

halfords cheap pads ftw on the road... (about £10)

otherwise, 1144's are good pads for hard driving..
