   It mite be bitof a rookie question but what do i need to do to get my exhaust to "pop"! Do i get the cat removed?? If so what do i do when it comes to my MOT? wudnt i fail on emissions?

   Taking the cat out would possibly do this and when your mot is due just put the cat back on.
   
   Although scotts old vtr passed two emmisions tests without a cat

   Backfire?. Its just unburnt petrol in the case of a rally car. Because they run their air/fuel ratio so rich.
   A straight through to backbox exhaust might give a little backfire.
   BUT if all fails just hook a spark plug up to a 9v battery and wack it in the exhaust!
   (highly illegal though)
