Important! : differnce between gearboxes?

   is there any difference between a mk1+mk2 vts gearbox , im ordering 1 2moro i own a mk1 vts and have sourced a low mileage mk2 gearbox off a 2000plate vts will this fit? any help much appreciated thanks

   Only difference should be the sensors plugs, but you can swap them over with your current mk1 box. However being a 2000vts box you are getting, the sensors should be the same.

   straight swap, some of the sensors may have different connectors but you can swap them over from box to box.

   speed sensor is the same but the reverse light switch on the top is different.

   the box has arrived and is same sensors so must be off a mk1 but the bloke said it was 2000 plate maybe it had a box change 2 and bloke never knew either way makes my job little easier now
