exhaust sealent

   my exhaust is blowing from the join at the manifold to the centre pipe. once before i took it in somwhere and they put some sealant stuff like slilcone around the back box join. can anyone tell me whether i can use silicone for the front join? cheers peeps.

   use an exhaust putty.. halfords do some good ones made by holts
   
   you may just need to replace the fire ring though

   ive tried putty but it doesnt seal it that well. ill have a look at what theyve got. its starting to do my head in now!!!!

   have you had a look at the fire gasket? If its knackard it won't make a good seal.
   
   Don't usually have to resort to paste there

   not yet. chances are that it is knackered but i have a centre section race tube and a decat section so there is a few places for the gasses to leak from. ill have a look at it over the weekend and see what i can do.
