Important! : track rod

    someone told me if i lower my saxo i will need a modified track rod because i have power steering?

    this isn't ture right?

    As far as i know mate you dont have to..well i've never heard of anybody having to do it.

    yeah i was told the same that if your lowering it more than 50mm then you need a modified track rod so that it does'nt rub through the power steering pipe. im doing mines on saturday and i dont have a modified track rod so just gona do it and c if its gona rub or not. i checked at halfrauds and phoned spax and both dont have a clue what i was talking about so im assuming such a thing dusnt exist.

    How low are you going? 40 / 50 shouldnt matter

    Just move the pipe like most people do

    yeah im gona move the pipe if its an issue. im going 60mm

    mines fine atm ive gone 60mm and no probs - just the eletrics on it playin up

    am lowering a saxo on sat as low as my xsi 120 rear 90 front and doing nowt but moving pipe

    but on my xsi i have modded the track rods so they fit upside down so there is no bump steer and feels alot better

    AFAIK the power steering pipe rubbing when you lower a saxo is only an issue on the mk2. I had mine down 60mm all round and i didnt have an issue with it. Mines is an early mk2 so it has the mk2 exterior but the single plug mk1 engine.
