exhaust popping

   the other night i was out with my m8 parked up and this evo come it was popping its exhaust like a bitch!!!!
   
   can a saxo make it pop?
   and how ?

   decat exhaust, i had a 106 with vtr engine it had standard decat manifold and straight thru supersprint exhaust and that popped on demand anytym i wantd it 2 pop just put the clutch in and lifted it back off and it would pop and when it changed gear, very loud pops

   i've got a piper back box and a middle supersprint section so all i need is a 4-2-1 manifold to make it pop
   
   and is it bad for your engine ?

   na its not bad atall its just all the compresion from the engine coming out, i love the sound lol

   i didnt think saxos would do it
   but they there was a ford fiesta parked up and tht made loud pops

   Full system with de cat can make your exhaust pop......... my magnex does it most of the time....nice and loud....

    Ive got a 3" OMP backbox, supersprint race centre and raceland 4-2-1 but when i had standard manifold it popped on demand but now it only does it occasionaly but my manifold is blowing slightly, would this affect the popping?

    same as mine, mines popped and backfired like a bastard but now is blowing from manifold so im guessing the unburnt fuel escapes there or is coolled there preventing any bangadge lmao

    i know someone with a 1.1 106 who stupidly put a 4 inch back box on like a proper chav would and he could make that pop. but dont do that cus you will look stupid=]

    i dont think theres anything rong with a 4-3 inch back box i've seen them little 1inch superspint 1s and they jus look stupid i mean the standard 1 is bigger

    i have just got a big back box on, and it was decated and it pops like mad. it is now cat'd coz of the MOT (bastards) but it still pops in 2nd at low revs

    boiracer. yours is a mk2 vtr so the cat will be in the manifold probably so id get a manifold to decat your car, should pop like a goodun then

    Looks far from standard on mine! Sticks out pretty far and at a really nice angle! My standard bacbox was 3" and the SuperSprint is only 2" lol..
    
    Each to their own I suppose, gotta admit, I do really like Piper backboxes too.
    
    Don't think you can beat a full Supersprint system for sound tho, IMO.

    go for a gmc manifold, supersprint race centre section and piper backbox it pop's like hell! and spits flames now and again. Use v-power and it pop's more.

    not got a full sytem in just a bacl box can get it to pop on demand using the clutch sounds the sex but not as loud as some others out there haha
