right i fitted the supersrint race system the other night and i also had to fit a new cat. now the exhaust is on im not impressed. it sounds almost standard. do i just need to give it time to bed in or is it because i have a new cat fitted.

i must admit that its helped the performance of the car slightly its alot happier at higher revs than my last one. but im just not impressed with the sound i thought they were supposed to be quite raspy and pop alot

Was this the proper race system or cat back?

It wont pop very much with a cat on but should still be raspy, what size back box you got?

its the full race centre pipe and 2 inch back box.

its because you still have the cat on...

Ive still got the cat in mine and it pops a fair bit. no where near as much as the striaght through race pipe does though. just needs a few miles of bedding in and it'll be a bit louder

ahh now i see why you left it in. Im sure GMC do an oil filter relocation kit which isnt that expensive, could be an idea if you do want the cat removed.

i looked on the website but could see anything but could phone and ask unless someone can clarify this
