rear stub axle question

  1. #1
my rear beam is shagged and so i have aquired 2 broken beams from my uncles rally car. one has a shagged stub axle and the other has a snapped trailing arm.

i am going to rebuild the one with the bent stub axle and fit it to my car, does anyone know where i can get a new stub axle from? do pug do them? any one else sell them? and any ideas how much?

    cheers chaps.

Just fit your arms to his beam. Although i'd not be too keen on using a beam that's taken an impact strong enough to bend a stub or snap a trailing arm but your choice.

im going to rebuild the beam with the broken stub axle, bearings and all so its like brand new. the one with the snapped trailing arm will prob just be for parts, and then when i take my beam off i will refurb that too and sell it. well thats the plan anyway.

This forum is the only place I've ever heard them called pins.
My local citroen, peugeot and my AA man all call them stub axles.

Not when I ordered mine. I asked for a pair of stub pins and they had no idea what I wa on about. After looking through the computer for a while, we found them listed as stub axles.

your arms wont be worn, the pins in hte yellow beam will be causing the play. just put your arms onto his beam.
