Hey people, just got my Citroen Saxo 1.1i SX in Calypso Green like i was telling you guys about.

Its not as bad as i thought and im quite happy with it.. but then again you would think that as its my first car..
Anyway yesterday i was backing into my drive and smashed my mirror off.

All is well, just need to glue it back on and get a small side indicator from the breakers yard 25 mins away.

I was enquiring what i can do to my car on a small budget.
Little things that make a big difference.

I am also trying to figure out what colour would go well with my car..

Seeing as its Calypso Green (( Google It. )) - (( Much like this car http://cdn.motors.co.uk/d/used-photo.../1/P123CNN.jpg )) what colour should i paint the brake calipers.. what colour alloys.. so on.. Should i get smoked back lights or lexus lights instead..

Info people info!
Remember small things that improve alot.
Max of 150 each change.

Also i was wondering about T-Cutting my badges.. Would BLACK look good on that colour or is it better as Chrome..

The green would look alright with black or anthracite grey

Ive t-cutted my rear badges as they go with the colour theme im going for,,ive also got black lexus rear lights,a full mesh grille, 'R' alloys in glossy black etc as you cna tell im going for the bue and black,,but with your green i would go for Anthracite,,as white maybe a bit leary,,or you could go for a brighter colour as alot of people are going for at the moment,,check out my pregress thread for ideas if you like mate,,subtle mods make the difference imo

Alot of people dont not like lexus lights on here but the black lexus look alright imo,,but depends what you like,at the end of the day its your car,as long as your happy with it,then that is all that matter

Here is one of the Citroen & One of the Saxo badges AFTER I T-cutted them.

As you may notice on the Saxo badge pic the trim looks quite black. I spent about 20 minutes using a "Back 2 Black" sort of product called "Black Diamond" on all the exterior black plastic trim. This made the car look a bit better.

Good little project you got going, I wouldnt get seat covers you can pic up like a whole good looking seat set out of another saxo/106 for the same price!!!
I used to like lexus lights but prefer jewel ones now. But I think black ones are kewl.
You could always buy a full VT kit? You can get them around £100 and could always get a diff colour and make your car two tone! Same price you would get R alloys for really.
But yah dont buy seat covers, A set of seats like this... http://i674.photobucket.com/albums/v...n/PIC_0082.jpg cost about £30-£50 and can be bought in yellow/blue/green instead of red

Will defo start thinking about them VT kits.. Not sure about the seats.. might just get two pure black seats..

Also do you think i should T-Cut the SX or take it off..?
Or leave it white..

That was just an example of seats, there are loads you can get for cheap, for some reason I just hate seat covers lol.
My boots fully flushed not really got a clue for yours tbh. May aswell take it off? Especially if you got a VT kit, would you go two tone or not? Don't know if anyone has done a green two tone Saxo but I could be wrong.

Well its my first car so i dont want to go insane on the amount of money i spend on it..
Only picked it up for £500 from a family friend so..
Nah to the two tone.. never did like the cars that were half one colour, half another.. i think it looks horrible..

I might tint the rear lights.. Can i tint them with a spray with them still in? (( Or am i dumb enough to not realise you need to spray the inside of the glass. ))

Also need to replace the front doo speakers.. they sound horrible at high bass and high volume.. Still good at decent volume though.. Loud enough to show off..

Haha fair enough, tint spray you just pull out the lights and spray em, its just one screw. What happened to buying black lexus lights they only cost like a tenner off ebay

My car was only £200 and I've spent quite a bit have a look (no super up to date pics atm tho).

Do i spray the OUTSIDE of the light? Just as it is?
Ebay they cost £40+
Tinting spray is £5.55 on ebay..

Love it.
Going to buy some tomorrow.

black lexus lights on ebay second hand are not 40+ they are only 44.99 new lol
second hand = 10 lol
yeh u just spray the outside, make sure its clean tho

Yeh you should check how much it is going to be bfore you do anything. I just declared exterior styling on mine which I see as covering everything and it cost like a extra £21 total or something.

Just went to the breakers yard and got a Saxo side indicator off a smashed up one for £1

Fitted it and polished it with back 2 black.
Looks like nothing ever happened..

Apart from a inch long scratch which im sure to get sprayed off.

Just got back from the original owners.
Im now the official owner of my first car!
And they gave me £50 back to get two new rear tyres..
So £450 for it.

Sorr for double post but i just ordered one saxperience sticker for my car and a can of smoke tinting spray for the rear lights..

Not 100% sure about the VT kit anymore.. Dont have gallons of money to spend.. 1st car.. 17 years old.. i will get slaughtered by insurance premiums..
