    So what are you asking?
Do you want to convert your car to 4 stud or your wheels to 3?

Both are possible. Both are costly.

my car has 3 stud. but the alloys and wheels that i have been offered are 4.

you can swap the front strut legs and brakes and the rear beam to 4 stud items to do it

    The question is still unanswered.

By the time you've bought all new suspension or had your alloys welded and re drilled, you could have bought alloys that fit.

You'll need the front suspension from a vt model preferably, you'll also need the brakes, as the 1.1 ATE teeves brakes will not match the hub. And a rear beam from a 4 stud model car. You're looking at 200 odd quid just for the parts above. Then there is fitting and labour charges if you don't want to do it yourself.

buy them, sell them for profit spend money made buying 3stud alloys! best option if you dont want to: a)change cars to get 4stud hubs. b)buy the parts to change hubs etc

I can get front struts and rear beam for £90 locally, i must be living in the non credit crunch part of the UK

    Front struts and driveshafts.
Rear beam, go for drum brakes, less pissing around setting up discs...

Im planning to do it at the end of august on my AX

dont bother with converting to 4 stud.just get some alloys that fit standard.

agreed. to convert to 4 stud takes time and effort and isn't worth it tbh for just alloys!

Stick with team 3 stud y0! Real brakes are for pussies.

Keep checking eBay and you'll find some wheels in no time.

dont bother doing a 4 stud convesrion unless you know the parts your getting are in good condition. i spent £170 on front struts anda rear beam and the fronts struts were so fucked iv had to spend loads of money fixing them, and now im just buying new struts instead

so its a complete waste of money

it's not worth all the money and hassel...i'd just keep looking for 3 studs if i were you....and like sum 1 else said, you could always sell the vtr alloys for a profit
