Gearbox

Any one know how to check and fill your gear box on a saxo vtr 1997 (p)i think mine is low as it jumps out of gear and is what someone has told me. is booked in to garage but not till next week and i need to use it so any advise will be apreciated

Urm..........

Not a really a box man but i wouldnt have thought being low on oil would cause it to pop out of gear??

But to top it up the fill up hole is located to the right of the clutch arm? i think?

you cant check the oil level of the box, the top hole near the clutch arm is the oil breather hole. There is a guide for Premium Members btw.

On the right hand side of gearbox (passenger side) there is two square holes one at the bottom one at the top as you look at the box, the bottom is the drain hole and the top is the fill hole, you need to buy the correct fitment and remove and fill through the top hole, once the gearbox oil starts to come out the top hole its full.
