hey guys my saxo mk2 vtr is overheating really easy and goes way over halfway near the top most of the time when im driving it and im not even driving that hard either, what could this bee? the radiator collant??? thanks guys

#2Bleed the rad system, could be an airlock. But if it persits it could be headgasket failure.

#4No its just 3 screws iirc. Theres a guide on here somewhere, or use a Haynes Manual.
As for the headgasket, one of the symptoms are a mayo type substance on the underside of the oil cap. -
#5Could be Headgasket, airlock in coolant system, faulty thermostat, low coolant level.

thermostat faulty ( stuck shut)
radiator core blocked or pipes kinked
electric cooling fan faulty or switch
presure cap faulty
ignition timing out out creates execess heat
inaccurate temp gauge sender unit
air lock in system
leaking rad -
#7its quite normal for a car to drive above half way mate, every car is different and some things will cause the car to be a bit warmer.. Is it actually going into the top section? Anywhere outside of there is considered normal really.. Unless it is actually going into the red
