   Where i live everyone shuns upon big exhausts, lexus lights or angel eyes, tinted lights or windows..
   Or to be fair ANY mods at all, saying they look tackey and crap and everyone will "laugh at you".
   
   Which pisses me off cause the vast car community that is Sax-P have hundreds of cars with angel eyes and so on..
   
   Anyone else had this problem?
   
   Small portion of these arguments coming from the WHOLE of my family.
   They hate unique.

   To be honest no! I find where I live people adly mod cars, you get like loads of corsa's with Halfrauds alloys and loud exhaust and thats it. Then they think its modded and is the best car in town.
   Never been anywhere that they frown upon mods!

   nope not at all suitable mods are good smoked lights window tints, ect, i used to get alot of people come up to me an dtalk to me abotu my car when i was washing it and stuff, yet i got chavs blasting past in there Halfords bomb corsas with rip speed alloys and shit giving me the looks like wtf? i think if a person is into mods and isnt a chav cars can look good :]

   Yeh my mate just has got a VTR with 4 exhuasts and i dont wana say "i dont like it" cuz i dnt wana sound harsh and he might get the impression im jellious or somat

   To be honest most style mods are cheap and tacky. Even if you pay a lot for something there more often then not cheap low quality in comparison to stock parts. More so many of such mods just prove to be impractical and well pointless. Its all aimed at a trend based culture that gives little or no consideration to practicality, quality, performance or styling. But rather if a bit is cool it gets stuck to a car. Defining music, bone rattling exhaust, cars that are so low they tend to throw them self off the road, lights that are so bright they blind other road uses and so on, you can easily see why many find this culture offensives.

   Mine only has the deafening music
   Never have it up loud in town though since usually when I see someone blaring music with the windows down i just think "you tit"

    My exterior has like my flushed boot, widemouth bumper etc. These are really not cheap things they are good

    i never said any mods was cheap or refering to yours? i was saying they feel cheap and half the time dont fit correctly, its each to there own i dont dislike any car/car mods but thwy might not be to my taste i like standard and highly tuned

    IMO, 'lexus' lights, Jap style bodykits, angel eyes, silly exhaust and deafening stereos (in built up areas) aren't a good thing on a Sax.
    
    Standard shell and kit with a few subtle tweaks is nice. Lowered a tasteful amount too as long as it's on performance coilovers, otherwise there's no point. (says the guy with standars susp )

    Lol theres a quicksilver round here that has 6 4inch back boxes along the rear bumper. Looks and sounds crazy lol. As for mods, keep it subtle, i think the days of lexus lights and body kits are over.

    Just do your own thing. This has been an argument that has taken place to many times and for too long me thinks. If we all followed and was worried what other people think then we wouldnt have a unique side to the modified scene and it would be boring. Like the fucking vag scene now that sucks!!
