Quick Quesiton About Dampers

  1. #1
Had the rear lowerd 40mm but it looks about 30-35 and it still has orig dampers. So say i got some decent dampers (koni is the only one i've heard of) will this lower the rear end anymore atall? Or can i get adjustable dampers? If so how much more will they lower the rear and how much are adjustable dampers to normal ones?

    Thanks, Lloyd.

P.S: Sorry if any of that isnt true e.g adjustable dampers dnt even exist or somat but im very unfirmilar with dampers.

    Cheers.

The dampers wont adjust the ride height they will adjust how much they push back against the car when compressed.

Spax have a 36 point iirc adjustable damper. Soft will make the rear sloppy and hard will make it want to come and say hello to the front of the car alot.

If im honest i don't know enough about suspension setups to give you advice id feel happy with.

Going for dampers alone might ruin the handling of the car. Id speak to some of the members on here that have alot more know how than me m8! Check the coilover thread too.

At the front all i have is 40mm spax springs and the rear is droped 40 with orig dampers.

My budget isnt alot. under £100 as i want window tints / gti interior / new exhuast more

Anything other than standard then will do for ya.

I used to have spax non adjustables on my old saxo. They were ok for a budget damper, about £40 each i think they were.
