URGENT - VTS/106GTI ECU query

   Can anyone please tell me if the VTS ECU is exactly the same as the 106GTI ECU. E.g. are the interchangeable without causing any problems.

   I had the chance to buy a superchipped 106gti ecu, but the bidding went higher than i budgeted for.
   
   
   
   Main worry was that the ecu's had different manufacturer's stamps on them - magneti marelli and bosch i think?

   It will have just been an older model, they both use Magneti Marelli AP1 now I believe

   you cannot change ecu from one car to another as they are coded, only if you have transponder unit and keys etc. ,but yes ecu ,s are the same as far as the engine is concerned
