Quick question - which side is the oil sump on?

   In the middle of doing an oil change and would like to know which side of the car is the sump on? I cant seem to find the plug - what does it look like, and is it covered by a heat shield?

   Runs across bottom of engine
   to be fair if you cant find it or the drain plug id be asking should i be doing the job!

   very bottom of the engine, its lowest point facing the rear of the car
