#3i assume you mean is it possible to put a 106 gti's engine into a vtr? can be done, you'll have to rewire the loom or get hold of a 3 plug vts loom
-
#4what search , would it just be easyer to put a vts in
-
#5Why not put a VTS engine in?
-
#6vts or gti engine is the same
-
#7same engine as a vts
youll need to either rewire the multiplug or get an appropriate loom and ecu from a 3 plug vts
i currently run a vts engine in my 106 gti so yes its possible -
#9there identical motors so bolt in the same manQuote:That what I mean, but surely a citroen engine would be easier to fit into a citroen than a peugeot engine would be?
only difference is the loom and possibly the fuel lines in the bay
which arent hard to swap tbh
actual fitting the motor into the bay is exactly the same -
#10Yeah I know they're the same just thought the electrics would be different. i.e wiring etcQuote:there identical motors so bolt in the same man

#11yea but its not hard to sort lol
i swapped the loom and ecu to the pug one on my motor and it ran first try lol
only 3 plugs needed changing too
i went from an empty bay and a motor with the wrong loom to in and cranking (minus fuel lines) in about 4 hours -
#12hi i have a 1996 vtr and was wondering wot i would need loom wise to fit a vts/gti engine the vtr is a single plug
-
#13youd need a loom from a single plug saxo vts
and the ecu to match that loom aswell
