exhaust leak before cat - emissions

   cars failed on emissions, changed lambda, still failed, so we got the cat changed today on the side at quik fit ready for its retest tomorrow, but i think its blowing at the join where it bolts onto the pipe from the mani. will it fail again if so? i dont fancy failing it again for something i can try to sort out!

   if its blowing then thats a MOT fail also - worth fixing.

   I know blowing is worth fixing but iirc is it not an excessive leak of exhaust gases?

   anything blowing before cat no matter how bad is a fail. blowing is a fail across the whole exhaust except a tiny leak between the centre and backbox. as the gas will still exit from th rear
