Is a 106 GTI spoiler the same as a VT spoiler?

    As above ^^^^

They do look very similar, just wanted to know if they are different at all........

saxos fit on a 106 so should fit - 106 spoilers are a little more expensive than saxo ones as the only came on GTI's as standard

How would you go about fitting one?

Its more difficult than that to fit to a saxo, or so i'm led to believe. Spoiler needs cutting and bending to make it sit flush with the saxo tailgate. Only seen 2 saxos with the Gti spoiler on, and both owners said it took a lot of work to get it on and look tidy

As Andy says its an absolute pain in the arse to get a 106 gti spoiler to fit

The underside seperates from the top side. The underside has to be cut out and binned straight away

It then took a good deal of cutting down other bits, rebuilding up with fibreglass and then trimming again to get it to fit properly

Worth it but it is a pain. If you've never touched fibreglass before i wouldnt even bother as itll cost a decent wedge if you have to pay a bodyshop to do it and perfect it for you

they came on a few quicky out the factor as alot of people got the as an extra or came bk soon after buying them to have them fitted
